On behalf of our client, we are seeking skilled Gas Cutters / Grinders to support fabrication and construction activities by performing precision cutting, grinding, edge preparation, and finishing of metal components used in industrial piping and mechanical installation projects. The successful candidates will ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with engineering specifications.
Responsibilities
Perform oxy-fuel gas cutting operations.
Grind welded joints and metal surfaces.
Prepare pipe ends for welding.
Remove defective welds where required.
Cut structural steel according to drawings.
Prepare bevels for welding.
Operate cutting and grinding equipment safely.
Inspect tools before use.
Maintain cutting equipment.
Ensure dimensional accuracy.
Support fabrication activities.
Maintain clean workstations.
Follow HSE procedures.
Report equipment defects.
Complete daily work reports.
Perform any other assigned duties.
Skills & Requirements
Trade Test Certification.
Gas Cutting Qualification.
Minimum 3 years' experience.
Industrial construction experience.
Metal fabrication knowledge.
Grinding equipment experience.
Drawing interpretation skills.
Safety awareness.
Equipment maintenance skills.
Good communication skills.
Team player.
Physically fit.
