A prestigious 5-star luxury hotel based in Nakuru is seeking a skilled
and charismatic Barman / Mixologist to deliver exceptional beverage
experiences to guests. The role is responsible for preparing high-
quality cocktails, maintaining premium service standards, and creating
memorable guest interactions in line with luxury hospitality
expectations. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and
passionate about mixology and customer service excellence.
Responsibilities:
- ✓ Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
according to hotel standards.
- ✓ Create classic and signature cocktails with precision, creativity,
and consistency.
- ✓ Provide personalized recommendations based on guest
preferences.
- ✓ Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the bar
area at all times.
- ✓ Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and minimize wastage.
- ✓ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol
service standards.
- ✓ Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- ✓ Process orders accurately through POS systems and manage
billing efficiently.
- ✓ Collaborate with the F&B team to deliver seamless guest
experiences.
- ✓ Contribute to new drink menu development and seasonal
beverage promotions.
Requirements:
- ✓ Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or related
field.
- ✓ Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a barman/mixologist in a 4-
star or 5-star hotel environment.
- ✓ Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, premium spirits, wines,
and beverage trends.
- ✓ Experience in luxury service standards and guest engagement.
- ✓ Valid food handling and alcohol service certification (where
applicable).
- ✓ Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- ✓ Creativity and strong mixology techniques.
- ✓ Professional appearance and grooming standards.
