Inventory Control & Stock Optimization Officer - Human Capital Outsourcing Limited

On behalf of our client, a growing multi-store retail business operating in the fashion and sportswear segment, we're recruiting an experienced and highly disciplined Inventory Control & Stock Optimization Manager. This role is responsible for taking full ownership of inventory management across multiple outlets, ensuring accuracy, availability of fast-moving items, strict stock control, and elimination of losses. The position requires strong numerical skills, high integrity, and the confidence to enforce inventory controls consistently across all stores.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control inventory across multiple retail outlets from a central store.   
  • Conduct daily verification of fast-moving stock by reconciling system records, stock books, and physical counts.   
  • Control, document, and authorize all stock issued to retail outlets.   
  • Ensure all stock movements are accurately captured in inventory systems in real time.   
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve stock discrepancies promptly.   
  • Maintain organized, clean, and secure storage areas to prevent loss, damage, or misplacement.   
  • Analyse fast-moving, slow-moving, and dead stock and recommend transfers, promotions, or discontinuation.   
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and support timely reordering.   
  • Prepare accurate weekly inventory reports for management decision-making.   
  • Work closely with procurement, sales teams, and store managers to optimize stock availability.   
  • Enforce inventory control procedures strictly and prevent shrinkage, wastage, and mismanagement.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Stores Management, Business, or a related field.   
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail inventory management.   
  • Proven experience managing inventory for multiple outlets.   
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and POS-based inventory systems.   
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.   
  • Experience in fashion, sportswear, or apparel retail is an added advantage.   
  • Ability to work with both manual stock records and digital systems.
